I must hand it to John Robinson over at Sitefever.com. With every new post he makes he has a new brilliant idea that will not only improve his blog’s loading speed, conversion ratio or add additional ad-space, but he also manages to attract links from a lot of fellow bloggers, gets visitors to read more pages and increases his RSS reader base daily.
Truly an amazing job and if he can keep this speed up he will soon have a truly valuable and profitable blog. But what will John aim for? Is he trying to do what bloggers like John Chow or Darren Rowse are doing or will he build the blog and then sell it for a profit later on?
What would you do if it were you?
Personally I like to try new things and build or expand on a business. When things become a little too ordinary (not that making $60k per month is ordinary) I need to spend my efforts on new things. I haven’t had a blog (or a site for that matter) that could add +$10k to my bank account per month but as selling prices on websites (including blogs) have risen over the last couple of years a site that brings in +$120,000 per year might be sold for more than double that price (or more). I don’t know what I would do if I got an offer like that but I would surely give it some serious thoughts.
