Jakob Knudsen has a point when he talks about linking to new blogs instead of A-class bloggers blogs.
The A-bloggers like Aaron Wall, John Chow and Shoemoney gets tons of links on a daily basis whereas new bloggers can be struggling to get that FIRST LINK that will keep them motivated to share their thoughts and ideas.
Why not make it a daily goal to find a new blog with something to share and give them a link for their effort? Everything needs to start somewhere and so does building links. So to all you veteran bloggers out there -> go find a newbie and give them a link.

Commenting on those new blogs gives the owner a big motivational boost, too. For some that can be the difference between them continuing to blog or giving up after a couple of months.
You are so absolutely right. I am doing the best I can to stop new good blogs and comment on them and if I see a good post I’ll link to it. Both links and comments (even a few) can mean the difference between keeping or ending a blog.
Now just get Aaron Wall, John Chow, and Shoemoney in on this goal!
Well, why not aim high to start with?
Well, you know I agree on this point! :)And thank you for the link. I have not seen your blog before I got a comment from you. Keep up the good work!
I can’t agree more on the fact of receiving comments will serve as a motivational boost to new bloggers. Nothing is more depressing than to put forth the effort in writing quality blog entries to only let it sit and become stale as weeks, months pass by.
Mikael,
Great start on your new blog! Comments give us the motivation to keep on blogging, because as you’re probably finding out it’s harder than regular civilians :p think!
Aaron
[...] with a new blog on making money online. Good start Mikael, and I got this idea from your first post so thanks! Last but not least, a blog about nothing [...]
Linking to new blogs IS a pretty good idea and I’ve never really thought about how a link can motivate another new blogger to continue blogging.
Will try to link out more often with this in mind.
Thanks Mikael.
